Although Shivika's heart ached at Rudra's harsh words-that he didn't want to see her face-she took some comfort in the thought that he wasn't truly leaving her. He would be back after completing his studies and would visit during his holidays. Yet, the worry lingering in her mind was still undeniable. She couldn't forget her mother's words, which continued to haunt her:

"Shivika, a wife must always obey her husband's wishes. Never refuse him. Once you are married, your in-laws' home becomes your own. Never give them a reason to complain, and never do anything that might make them turn their backs on you. If your husband leaves you, both you and your family will lose all honor. After marriage, a daughter is welcome in her parental home for only two days; after that, staying there too long will invite gossip and judgment."
